The Challenge:
The customer required an office in Cramlington to be cleared following a business relocation.
The premises contained desks, office chairs, filing cabinets, shelving, storage units, electrical equipment, packaging and general workplace items that were no longer required.
One of the main challenges was removing bulky furniture safely through shared access areas while minimising disruption to neighbouring businesses. The customer also needed important paperwork, IT equipment and several reusable office items kept separately.
The clearance had to be completed within the agreed working day so the premises could be prepared for handover.
Our Solution:
Before work began, our team confirmed which furniture, equipment and documents were to remain.
We cleared the office systematically, starting with loose items and smaller furniture before dismantling larger desks, shelving and storage units where required.
Reusable furniture and recyclable materials were separated during the process. Electrical items were handled separately for appropriate recycling and disposal, while confidential documents and equipment identified by the customer were left untouched.
Care was taken when moving larger items through corridors, entrances and shared areas to reduce the risk of damage to the property.
Once everything had been sorted, the unwanted contents were loaded into the clearance vehicle for reuse, recycling or responsible disposal.
The Result
The Cramlington office clearance was completed in approximately six hours by a three-person team.
One full van load of unwanted office furniture, equipment and general contents was removed, with approximately 680 kg of material directed towards recycling and responsible processing.
The main office areas, storage spaces and access routes were left clear and ready for cleaning, inspection and handover to the landlord or incoming occupier.
Important business documents, IT equipment and items marked for retention remained safely in place, allowing the customer to complete their relocation without unnecessary disruption.
